Fullerton College Student recipient shall be a music major carrying at least 12 units of work with GPA of 2.0 or better. Prime requisites are that the student shall have instrumental jazz musical talent and shall be working seriously to develop that talent.
Recommendation for this award shall be made by the instructor(s) of small jazz combo groups through the Chairman of the Music Department and the Dean of Fine Arts.
This scholarship can be for one or more freshmen or sophomores currently enrolled in the F.C. and taking lessons on a stringed instrument that is played with a bow. Student recipient(s) should be a music major carrying at least 12 units of work. Prime requisites are that the student shall have musical talent, shall be working seriously to develop that talent, and shall need financial assistance. Recommendation for this award shall be made by the instructor in strings through the Chairman of the Music Department and the Chairman of Fine Arts. The disbursement of the scholarship will be on a semester basis ½ in Fall ½ in Spring.
This scholarship is to be divided among several students. Criteria include being a music major currently enrolled in 12 units with a GPA of 2.0 or better. The students must also be participants in performance groups or other music related activities. Selection of recipients is done by the Music Department. The Department through its Division Chairman will make recommendations.
This scholarship is available to a deserving music student who has completed at least 24 units and is receiving a "Board of Governor's Fee Waiver". Additional criteria to be determined by the Music Department scholarship committee.
This scholarship is for one or more students majoring in Voice. Student must be a serious voice student with a minimum GPA of 2.0. Recommendations will be from voice teachers at voice juries.
