This scholarship is given to a student with 45 units including 12 child development units. The student must have a 3.5 GPA in Child Development courses and a 3.0 GPA overall. The recipient of the scholarship must have a goal to work with children. The scholarship is disbursed ½ in Fall and ½ in Spring. Selection of recipients is made by the Child Development and Educational Studies Department.
This scholarship is in honor of Professor Kathleen Baker who, in 1959, established the F.C. Child Development Center Laboratory School and later the F.C. Campus Day Care Center. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who is a Child Development/Educational Studies major who is taking 6 or more units and has a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher. Selection of recipients is made by the Child Development and Educational Studies Department.
This award is intended for a student majoring in elementary or secondary teaching, or child development career, who will continue their education at Fullerton College in the following fall. The student should be planning to pursue a career in public school teaching or child care/day care. It is preferred the student is a single parent returning to school The student must have a minimum GPA of a 2.7 and carry at least 6 units per semester. Selection of recipients is made by the Child Development and Educational Studies Department.
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who is a Child Development/Educational Studies major who has at least a 2.0 G.P.A. and is progressing toward his/her goals in spite of challenges and hardship. Selection of recipients is made by the Child Development and Educational Studies Department.
