Brian M. Scully Memorial Journalism Scholarship
This scholarship is for one or two full-time F.C. sophomores majoring in journalism, who have earned a GPA of 3.2 or better in all journalism classes, and a 3.0 GPA overall, and who have completed at least 25 units of work at the time of selection. Financial need shall not be a consideration and the student must be enrolled in 12 units. The student shall have demonstrated sincerity and seriousness of purpose, interest in the student newspaper, and have a personality that shows genuine promise of success in communications. Recommendation shall be by the entire journalism faculty, including the Hornet advisor and the Chairman of the Communications Division. Per the request of the donor, students are required to submit a sample of their work to the Foundation office before receiving scholarship monies.

Hornet Golden Anniversary Journalism Award
Journalism professors, through their Division Chairman, will select one or more journalism students who will continue their education at F.C. or transfer to a four-year institution next year.

Howard C. Hall Memorial Journalism Award
This scholarship is for continuing students majoring in journalism or press photography as a career, not a hobby. Students with a desire to attend a four year college will be considered first.

Leif Johnson Memorial Journalism Award
This scholarship is for one or more full-time freshmen majoring in journalism, advertising, or printing who will return to Fullerton College next year. This award rotates among journalism, advertising and printing majors. Recommendation will be by the Journalism Department through its Division Chairman.

Sandra Baird Allen/Julie Davey Journalism Scholarship

Recipient(s) should be at least  twenty-five years old and majoring in Journalism. Ideally, they will also have a fervent desire to be a print reporter but other media such as television, Internet, magazine or radio is also acceptable. The student may be continuing, graduating or transferring and must have a G.P.A. of 3.0 or better. Selection will be made by the Journalism Department, Julie Davey and the Allen Family.
